Cabot and Hendrick Team Up for NASCAR Winston Cup Championship Race

Boston, MA (July 11, 2001) When NASCAR's Tropicana 400 Winston Cup drivers begin this exciting race on Sunday, be sure to watch for the Hendrick Motorsports (HMS) car driven by Terry Labonte. Terry is a two time Winston Cup Champion and his HMS teammate, Jeff Gordon is on track to win Hendrick's 5th NASCAR Winston Cup Championship in the last decade.

Cabot Corporation's (NYSE: CBT) name and logo will be prominently displayed on the rear deck and quarter panels of Terry's car, the Hendrick Motorsports #5 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. This is the first NASCAR Winston Cup race held at the Chicagoland Speedway (Joliet, IL) and Cabot will be there. The race will be broadcast by NBC on Sunday, July 15 at 2:00 PM EST.
